My New Room mate

One week ago, my mother brought home a squirrel which was kept in a cage. Its name was Layla and it was a she. My mum brought her back because a student who was going back to the States for summer asks us to help her take care of her.

Layla is a very tame pet. She has been taken care of for 3 years. That must have been since she was a baby. She always stays in her little pouch. As she is a nocturnal creature, she only comes out to play at night. Once, her crying kept me up the whole night cos I slept at 1 (She's not sad or hungry. That's just the sound she makes). I took her to the living room and scolded her. She actually understood me and stop crying and did not make anymore noise for the whole night except run around her cage.

She eats worms and apples. Quite a good pet. Her cage does not have to be cleaned often and she does not need to take a bath often too. If u take her out of her cage, she will run around but if u hold her pouch and ask her to come back to u, she will obediently run into her pouch or her cage.

I'll miss y'all

Haiz today's my last day of school. I returned all my books to the headmaster.
I took a good look at my school for the last time as it may be the last time I ever will see it again.
It wasn't easy to bid farewell to my friends. We said that we'll miss each other and we should keep in contact.
My teachers told me I was very lucky to have an opportunity to go to an international school.
I was quite teary even though I thought I would never shed a tear when I leave this school but I guess I'll miss all my friends and my teachers.

I thank my Father God for opening a door for me to go to Dalat, never in my wildest dreams I dreamt that I would go to an International School. I definitely have more faith in him and grown even more, spirtually and mentally.

I will have to get ready to go to a new school this August. I have all my subjects picked out for me. There are a few hard subjects. I heard there are only a few feshmans in that class. I know God will help me to adapt to a new school and a new environment.

I don't want ur money, I just wanna return it to u.

As some of u know I lost my phone sometime ago. It was always attached to me for 2 years from the time i first got it. That was during Christmas in Hong Kong.

Anyway back to how I lost my phone. I was on the way to Mrs. Chiu's for English tuition. (She's the kind old lady who drives a jeep or a Honda City to church. She teaches Sunday School). When I came out of my car. It dropped out of my pocket. Funny why I couldn't hear it. I think it dropped to the floor the same time when my car door closed.

I didn't care to even look back when I found out that my phone wasn't in my pocket. (I thought I left it in my car) So I just went into the house to call my father. He drove back to return me my phone but to my dismay it was not there. After two hours of searching in vain. I went home with defeat.

I used my mum's phone to text my phone. And ask if anybody picked up my phone they would return it to me. The person did call back. It was a Malay guy. (I could distinguish by his voice) He demanded for RM300. 'Kinda steep' I thought.

I told my mother that I did not want my phone back and I will not compromise with thieves.

So to everyone out there who pick up stuff which is not urs. Pls try to return it to its rightful owner. If the person wants to give u a reward, u may accept it. But never demand money cos ur not selling second hand stuff. Picking up other ppl's stuff and selling it back to them is a form of thievery...

Say NO to Exam Tips. Say NO to Cheating.

Today Exam... not bad, four papers down eleven more papers to go haiz.... So near yet so far.

Anyway there are ppl(I heard they are from C class) who are selling exam tips at RM5 for each paper.
And it seems that the tips sold to my friends really worked. Cos the Chinese Essay Paper was from a workbook and somehow they got hold of the exam questions and are selling them to some boys(I'm not gonna say who) who are willing to pay just to know the answers in advance and prepare first. More like I would call, Cheating.
Anyway I heard rumors from some friends. That these ppl who are selling these tips have about every paper's tips.
I'm now asking all Chung Ling students NOT to buy these tips.

Our society these days are getting very very competitive. Students are chasing to spot questions and are willing to pay, just to know the questions that are coming out in there exams. As we know, lots of pupils are now flocking to Intensive tutions which teach them how to spot question.
Even when I go to school on exam days. The only thing that my friends ask each other instead of casual talk is :
"Got Tips or not?
No Tips No talk."
My MSN buddies who are from school keep asking me the same question :
"Ur teacher got give u any tips?"
or
"U want to know wat is coming out for XXX exam? My tips are very
accurate. U want? "
Some how I think this is a very unhealthy situation, that is really getting out of hand. I hope that our education system will be changed and not be so exam-oriented. And one day, I hope that Malaysian students will stop being so narrow-minded and start looking at the bigger picture which is that exam marks is not everything, that when u go out to the real world your marks or achievements don't matter anymore. Its what u learned in school and how u make the best out of it. And that is what really matters.

Bus Incident

18.2.08

Today the bus driver forgot to pick me up. I was waiting at another stop which was not my house and since I always change stops, I think she forgot and just drove off without me. Some of the boys in the bus saw me but....

Anyway, I managed to get hold of a phone and called the bus driver. She was quite unhappy but she still drove back to get me.

Luckily, we weren't late for school. The boys in the bus told their friends that I made them late for school. During recess a lot of ppl came up to me and asked why I made them late. Well I said I didn't make anyone late and that's final.

After school, I went onto the bus and the bus aunty didn't look quite happy. Before I went home, I apologized to her about this morning even though it wasn't really my fault. She suddenly brightened up and told me it was not really my fault and said it was hers cos she forgot.

So, To all my friends who are reading this nevertheless who is at the wrong, I think we should all learn how to apologize and say sorry even if we were on the wrong side or not... It may just brighten up someone's day right? :)
